Granola Bars

1 stick softened butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
1 cup applesauce
2 cups rolled oats

Mix well.

Preheat oven to 370*.

Blend in 1 cup flour and 1/2 cup raisins or trail mix.

Grease a cookie sheet.

Spread out the mix smoothly in a large rectangular shape, then bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

Cool then cut edges, saving and crumbling extras for loose granola. Store bars in a covered container.
